A BIT ABOUT US...

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring together experienced theatrical artists and people who want to explore the world of theatrical arts. Our purpose is to expand the community's appreciation of the Arts by providing live productions that provoke thought, laughter, and sometimes tears.

Our Story

Carlsbad Community Theatre began in 1960 with a small group of experienced actors and directors.  We are a non-profit organization, run completely by volunteers.

Our theatre is one of the last standing buildings of the former WWII Carlsbad Army Air Field, having served as the Commissary for the soldiers living on base. We have converted this space into a performance space with a 130 seat auditorium.

Carlsbad Community Theatre continues operations through the generous support of our season ticket holders, our benefactors, and this season, our season sponsor, Western Commerce Bank.
